We are taking care of your piano over the years by installing a climate control system.
Here is how it works.
How does the Piano Guard system work?
The Piano Guard System is an advanced climate control solution designed for both upright and grand pianos. Using integrated sensors, it continuously monitors temperature and humidity, ensuring optimal conditions for the instrument. By precisely adapting to environmental changes, it helps maintain the piano in excellent condition over time.

The system is discreetly installed: in grand pianos, it is mounted beneath the soundboard between the ribs, making it largely invisible, while in upright pianos, it is placed inside the cabinet.

When humidity levels exceed 60%, the system automatically activates a drying process to protect the soundboard.
If humidity drops below 45%, it initiates a humidification process to restore appropriate levels.

A front indicator light beneath the keyboard alerts you when the water reservoir needs refilling. In addition, a dedicated mobile app provides notifications and detailed climate data, including temperature and humidity trends over customizable periods—whether daily, monthly, or yearly.

Should you ever change instruments, the system can easily be transferred and installed in your new piano.
The maximum power consumption is only 48 watts, comparable to that of a light bulb when switched on.

Why do we recommend Piano Guard instead of the traditional Damp Chaser?
Piano Guard is manufactured in the European Union (Poland), rather than in China, ensuring high production standards and reliability. The system offers advanced monitoring through a smartphone app and multiple sensors, providing far more precise and accurate climate control than other systems available.
The creator of Piano Guard collaborates with the same Polish supplier we trust for our FJV piano technician tools, making them a reliable partner. Whenever support is needed, their team is consistently available and responsive.
In addition, Piano Guard incorporates a Swiss-made "stone" filter to purify the water, further enhancing the system’s quality and durability.

Piano Guard makes managing instruments effortless for music schools and institutions.
One of the biggest challenges for music schools using humidity control systems is keeping track of every piano to ensure its tank is always full. With the Piano Guard mobile app, managers receive instant notifications whenever a system needs refilling—complete with the piano brand and model, its serial number, and the room—making maintenance simple and stress-free.
