Our New FJV Hammer Tapering Jig is designed to do the tapering on grand pianos hammers. 
 
It can be used with or without pre-hung shanks, making it both unique and highly practical for everyday use.
 
This tool is intended to be used according to the protocol established by FJV Piano Design – François-Jérôme Vincent. It's practical to lighten hammers properly, without damaging the hammer. 
 
This jig is designed for use with a table saw (not included).
It is compatible with most table saw models available on the market, provided that the blade height is adjustable.
The guide rail is designed specifically for the Makita table saw, but is not essential as long as your table saw include a guide (see Instructions Manual).
